Writing is obsessive-compulsive, a need to use the gifts so generously bestowed by the Elf Queen since the days of Thomas the Rhymer.

My poems are gifts that come unexpectedly, like tiger-striped monarch butterflies. A friend struggling with cancer posted one by her mirror and read it daily to lift her spirits. My hope is that this collection will also give you solace and that the short stories will initiate reflection, opening doors of perception onto the worlds that coexist alongside our own but just beyond the veil of human sight.
