Rabbit in the moon,
What are you planting in those dry, rocky craters?
What can you hope to grow
When the only water is on the North and South Poles?
How will you harvest lotus seeds for moon cakes?
Will you sweeten them with stardust?
Water them with hope?
If you succeed, may I have one?
I am so famished
I can barely lift my eyes to your lantern’s light.
